Pappasito's Cantina 40th Anniversary
Houston-based Tex-Mex chain – with locations in Fort Worth, Arlington, Dallas, and DFW Airport – is celebrating its 40th birthday through October with food and drink specials. Visit on Wednesdays and get 40 fajitas (enough to feed 2-3 people) for $40 starting at 4 pm for dine-in or to-go. Order the Fiesta Fizz cocktail, with tequila, blueberry, and sparkling wine, and keep the commemorative ceramic mug. Folks can also enter to win one of 10 $400 gift cards.
Sake Dinner at Kessaku
Sky-high Japanese restaurant on the 50th floor of The National will host a six-course sake pairing dinner featuring JOTO sakes. Menu highlights include ocean trout crudo, king crab soba, and Rosewood Wagyu strip donburi. The lavish dinner is $300 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 6 pm.

Underground Comedy Club Dinner at Bourbon & Banter
Pair comedy with cuisine during this four-course dinner and stand-up show. Guests will be entertained by four comedians, including headliner Peng Dang, who's a regular at the Comedy Cellar in New York City. Menu highlights include sweet tea-brined pork chops, steelhead trout, and beef tartare. The dinner is $80 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 7 pm.

CliffMade Pantry 5-Mile S'mores Class
CliffMade Pantry (born out of Oak Cliff Coffee) will host a scratch-made s’mores class featuring their signature 5 Mile chocolate bar. Participants will receive homemade graham crackers and marshmallows along with a s'mores kit to replicate the process at home. Coffee is included in the $40 per person price. The class will run from 10 am–12:30 pm and will take place at Davis Street Espresso. (Be sure to check in case it sells out.)
Bia Hoi Pop-Up at Malai Kitchen
Modern Thai-Vietnamese restaurant will host its annual sidewalk pop-up experience at its West Village location, complete with tiny stools and tables in authentic fashion. Menu items will include Hanoi-style street food typical of Vietnam, including shrimp ceviche, finger bread banh mi, crispy pork, beef brisket laab, purple yam doughnuts, and salted caramel fish sauce ice cream. Wash it all down with $1 pints of Malai’s signature Vietnamese beer, Bia Hoi. The pop-up will run from 11 am–11 pm.
North Texas EggFest
More than 30 Big Green Eggs will be fired up for this culinary competition that will showcase an array of mouthwatering samples. Set to take place at Sunnyland Outdoor Living in North Dallas, the event will offer cooking demos from Crossbuck BBQ, The Meat Board, and more along with bites from 25 teams, live music, and a kids zone.
Tickets in advance are $10 per person and include bottled water and soft drinks along with three raffle tickets and a free gift. In the market for a Big Green Egg? The demo eggs will be for sale at a discount after the event, which will run from 11 am–3 pm.
