Classy Jack & Harry's to bring steak and gumbo to Dallas' Snider Plaza
Dallas food & beverage purveyor Vandelay Hospitality Group is opening its newest concept: Called Jack & Harry’s, it's a New Orleans-inspired restaurant and bar and will open at 6833 Snider Plaza, where it will serve French-infused recipes, coastal favorites, wines, and cocktails.
According to a release, it'll open on March 29 and will be open for dinner nightly.
The building it occupies, which is the former Edible Arrangements space, dates back to 1945.
Vandelay Hospitality Group Founder Hunter Pond says in a statement that the the concept combines his love of dry-aged steaks and New Orleans culture as well as "an unforgettable trip taken alongside some of my close restaurateur friends Julian Barsotti and Greg Katz early in my career."
The menu is anchored by prime and dry-aged steaks including the French onion filet and the 28-day dry-aged Delmonico
Other menu items include gumbo, chicken Française, and oysters St. Claude. Snapper and flounder are offered pan-fried or broiled, with sides such as Carolina coleslaw, golden tallow French fries, and crayfish mac & cheese.
The bar will serve Bourbon Street-inspired cocktails such as the smoked olive martini, New Orleans gin fizz, Hemingway daiquiri, Sazerac, and French martini. Wine is available by the glass, with an emphasis on French wine.
The restaurant occupies a 5,000-square-foot space featuring imported New Orleans brick, antique Charleston lanterns and furniture, aged brass, and equestrian artwork for a turn-of-the-century character.
It's the third concept VHG has planned for Snider Plaza, with New York City import Bar Sardine and Montecito’s, an Italian concept starring chef Kashawn Cruell opening in 2024.
