Sprouts Farmers Market opens its latest Dallas-area store in Rockwall
Growing supermarket chain Sprouts Farmers Market has a new store ready to pop: The Phoenix-based chain will open its newest DFW store in Rockwall at 469 E. I-30 in Rockwall, on Friday, March 15.
According to a release, a ribbon-cutting will take place Friday morning at 6:45 am, and the store will open at 7 am. Gotta be an early riser for those ribbon-cuttings!
Headquartered in Phoenix, and one of the largest and fastest growing retailers of natural and organic food in the U.S., Sprouts has more than 400 stores in 23 states nationwide, including 27 in Dallas-Fort Worth, including this newest store, which is the first in Rockwall; the closest stores until now were Rowlett and Mesquite.
Rockwall Mayor Trace Johannesen is, unsurprisingly, thrilled the store has arrived with its fresh, healthy food options and job opportunities.
"We welcome them and are pleased to have them contribute to Rockwall being a wonderful place to live, work, and play," Johannesen says.
True to its farm-stand heritage, Sprouts offers a unique grocery experience, featuring an open layout with produce at the heart of the store. The healthy grocer is unique in its inclusion of wholesome, innovative products made with lifestyle-friendly ingredients such as organic, plant-based, and gluten-free.
Sprouts Farmers Market is invested in serving the communities where it operates. It works with local farmers like South Tex Organics, True Harvest Farms, Chip Berry Produce, and others to source local produce.
As is the custom with Sprouts store openings, there'll be activities all weekend long, from March 15-17, including a “pop-up party” out front with free seasonal produce tastes from a tasting bar, a “guess the weight” contest of an oversized piece of produce, and prize giveaways throughout the weekend.
