Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe brings crepes and waffles to McKinney

Sweet Paris Creperie
Crepes and waffles and all the good things are now being served at Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café: The small chain has opened a location in McKinney, at 8701 W. University Dr. #100, in the West Grove Shopping Center, at the southeast corner of Custer Road.
Sweet Paris was founded in Houston in 2012 by Ivan and Allison Chavez with a mission to revive the art of eating crepes. This will be the second location in DFW following Southlake, which opened in 2024. (There's also a location opening soon in Dallas' Snider Plaza.)
The menu offers 20 crepes in varieties savory and sweet including dulce de leche, lemon & sugar, s'mores, chicken enchilada, Philly cheesesteak, and a vegan option with portobello mushrooms, black bean purée, corn salsa, and chipotle sauce.
While crepes are the signature, they also serve waffles, egg breakfasts, panini, and salads. A "croque madame" crepe has scrambled eggs, gruyère, smoked ham, & béchamel sauce, while an Alaskan has smoked salmon, pickled red onions, capers, and scrambled eggs, topped with dill sour cream, & scallions. Everything is $20 or less.
They also serve beer and wine, mimosas, milkshakes, espresso drinks such as lattes, and hot chocolate.
Bringing the shop to McKinney are husband-and-wife Ludo and Yi Le Gall. Originally from France, Ludo has always had a passion for the culinary arts and a strong desire to share the rich flavors of French cuisine with his Texas community. Some of his most cherished memories are of his mother lovingly making crepes for the family in the kitchen.
In 2018, the couple discovered Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café and connected with the brand’s vision. That connection inspired them to open their first location in Friendswood in 2020. Now, they’re eager to expand their Sweet Paris portfolio and welcome a new community to the experience.
“Our second store opening is a significant milestone we’re thrilled to celebrate,” said Ludo. “Reflecting on our journey with Sweet Paris, from taking a leap into entrepreneurship and opening our first location to now launching a second, we are reminded of just how far we’ve come. It’s been a meaningful path of growth, made possible through our partnership with the amazing team at Sweet Paris.”
“We are thrilled to watch the team open the latest Sweet Paris location in the charming community of McKinney,” said Allison Chavez, CEO and Co-founder of Sweet Paris. “This opening is a testament to the continued success and forward momentum of Ludo and Yi as they celebrate the launch of their second location with the brand. We look forward to watching them welcome a new community to experience what makes Sweet Paris so special.”
