Dallas barbecue restaurant to open in ex-Sonny Bryan's spot on Lovers Lane

Ten50 BBQ
There's a barbecue expansion going down: Ten50 BBQ, which opened its first location in Richardson nearly a decade ago, is opening a second location in Dallas, in a storied location: the former Sonny Bryan BBQ spot.
According to a release, it'll open at 5519 Lovers Ln. in winter 2023.
Owner Preston Evans says in a statement that they were planning for another location when the site became available.
"Without hesitation, we knew it had to be our next Ten50 BBQ," Evans says. "I grew up in the neighborhood and it has been a dream of mine and my family’s to have an opportunity to serve this part of Dallas."
Ten50 debuted with star power; it was initially co-owned by Larry Lavine, founder of Chili's. And it's an honorable mention on the TX Monthlylist of Top 50 Barbecue Joints in Texas.
Ten50 serves traditional low and slow style barbecue including USDA prime brisket, which cooks 10-12 hours at 200-225 degrees, then trimmed down to a quarter-inch allowance for a flavorful, smoky bark.
Ten50 BBQ Managing Partner and Head Pitmaster, William Weisiger says, “We’re excited about the location we’ve selected in Dallas and know the neighborhood will fall in love with our barbecue and delicious sides and desserts.”
