Sports lodge chain Twin Peaks to open its first location in McKinney
Sports lodge restaurant chain Twin Peaks is opening its newest location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in McKinney, at 3750 W. University Dr., AKA 380, in a bustling new intersection about a mile west of US-75.
This will be its first location in McKinney, and it's set to open in October, according to a release.
The Dallas-based breastaurant chain is known for its draft beer poured at a crisp cool 29 degrees, scratch-made food, cocktails, and waitresses and hostesses called "Twin Peaks Girls."
Twin Peaks was founded in Lewisville in 2005 and is owned by Los Angeles-based FAT Brands. It has since expanded across the state, with 11 locations in Dallas-Fort Worth, with 115 locations in the U.S. and Mexico.
It's not all openings: A location in Frisco location closed earlier this year, according to the restaurant website. But don't worry: More locations are in the works.
“Our newest McKinney lodge is a part of our ongoing expansion in DFW,” CEO of Twin Peaks Joe Hummel says in a statement. “Recent openings include Plano, Grand Prairie, Speedway, and Burleson, with Terrell coming in August and additional sites in discussion in Little Elm and Denton.”
The menu will feature Twin Peaks’ signature dishes, including billionaire's bacon burger, Philly cheesesteak, the smokestack burger, flatbread pizzas, and the smoked and grilled wings. Prices range from $7 for mini tacos to $26 for New York strip steak.
Bar offerings include the Buffalo Trace Barrel Select Old Fashioned and the Cincoro Hall of Fame Margarita. Four of the 24 beers on tap will be Twin Peaks brews crafted in DFW at the Twin Peaks Brewery: dirty blonde, drop dead redhead, knotty brunette, and peaks light.
The sports lodge will offer wall-to-wall TV coverage of major sporting events, including college and pro football, baseball, UFC and boxing matches, races, and even international soccer league play. Local fans can gather and root for their favorite college and professional sports teams while enjoying their favorite beers.
