New tour of Dallas clubs whisks couples to 10 wedding venues in one day
Couples planning to tie the knot in 2019 have many decisions to make — the venue being at the top of the list. A new event might just help.
For the first time, ClubCorp, a Dallas-based owner of private golf and country clubs, is bringing brides- and grooms-to-be the unique opportunity to tour local clubs and sample food and drinks from the area’s top vendors — all in one day. Taking place on February 16, the Luxe Wedding Showcase is a daylong traveling tour, highlighting 10 country clubs in the Dallas area.
"We wanted to showcase our outstanding wedding venues in a unique and memorable way," says Don Boshears, ClubCorp's regional director for catering and event sales. "The Luxe traveling wedding event, which we believe is the first of its kind, allows us to do just that."
Participants will choose from three tour options — North Tour ($25), South Tour ($25), or a combined North and South Tour ($40) — and enjoy tastings at every club, along with transportation for the duration of the tour.
To provide couples with a complete picture of what they’re capable of, area vendors and on-site event planners will transform each club into a dream wedding space. Experts will be on hand to answer questions about their services and help couples brainstorm on how they might use the space to bring their dream wedding to life.
The icing on the (wedding) cake: Registered attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Win-a-Wedding Competition, where they’ll compete with other couples in challenges for the chance to win a $10,000 wedding event at their choice of the showcased clubs.
Club Corp clubs host more than 300 wedding events each year. Clubs participating in the Luxe event include:
- Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch
- Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson
- The Clubs of Prestonwood in Dallas and Plano
- Gleneagles Country Club in Plano
- Hackberry Creek Country Club in Irving
- Las Colinas Country Club in Irving
- La Cima in Irving
- Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco
- Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney
- Tower Club in Dallas
"Our wish is that every attendee leaves the event excited about the possibilities of what their wedding can look like," says Boshears, adding that there's the possibility of Luxe becoming an annual event. "We hope similar events showcasing our clubs will become much anticipated events each year."
The event begins at 10 am with registration at Brookhaven Country Club. Buses will run every 20-30 minutes starting at 10:30 am, returning to Brookhaven at 4 pm. Tickets are available at luxedfwevent.com.
