Dallas Symphony Orchestra League saddles up for spring derby party at Lone Star Park
Charitable Dallasites love a derby party almost as much as they love a kickoff. Recently the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League combined both at the Renaissance Collection showroom in the Design District, where the organization held an announcement party for its spring fundraiser at Lone Star Park.
Showroom owners and brothers Saied and Amir Esfahani joined derby chair Mari Epperson in welcomingDSOL supporters— including Melissa and Buddy Lewis, Rose Gault, Marena Gaul, Dixie Marshall, and Ginger Sage — for wine, hors d’oeuvre, and the introduction of honorary chairs Barbara and Don Daseke. Former Young Strings student Xavier Wilson provided the background music.
The 2014 Wells Fargo Dallas Symphony Derby is set for May 4 at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie. Although the group couldn't help but day dream about hats, horses and mint juleps, this evening was about thanking sponsors, including G. W. Hail from Lone Star Park and Brian Brode from Wells Fargo.
This highly anticipated springtime fundraiser benefits the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s education and outreach. For more information about the Dallas Symphony Derby, visit the DSOL website.
