Dallas' favorite shopping card celebrates 25 years of success with grand luncheon
What: Family Place Partners Card Luncheon
Where: Dallas Country Club
The 411: Celebrating 25 years of success, Partners Card held its anniversary luncheon at Dallas Country Club, with past Partners Card chairs, sponsors, retailers, and all those who have contributed to the organization’s success over the years filling the grand ballroom.
Co-founder Sally Hoglund and Family Place board member Brenda West Cockrell hosted the celebratory party, and Family Place CEO Paige Flink shared with guests that over the years the Partners Card program has helped raise more than $17 million to support victims of family violence. Partners Card co-founders Sally K. Johnson and Hoglund were also honored for their work, while co-chairs Brynn Bagot Allday and Jennifer Burns announced that this year’s Together We Save Partners Card will be held October 27-November 5. They also offered ideas on how to make Partners Card 2017 bigger and better than ever, with more retailers, sellers, sponsors, new technology, and expanded social media campaigns.
During the luncheon, guests dined on tortilla soup, Southwest chicken chop salad, and chocolate mousse, while a montage of photos from the past 24 years played in the background. As parting gifts, guests received shopping bag cookies created by Kim Crigger Warren of KimCake4U.
Partners Card is the signature fundraiser for the Family Place, one of the longest-serving family violence service providers in the state.
