Hadleigh's rolls out blue carpet for blooming Dallas Museum of Art bash
The Dallas Museum of Art League kicked off Art in Bloom 2014 with an intimate gathering at Hadleigh’s in Highland Park Village. Forty guests joined chairwoman Barbara Durham and honorary chair Barbara Bigham to celebrate the beloved fall fundraiser.
For this evening affair, owners Gable and Ed Shaikh expanded their bespoke boutique by creating a sleek outside living area populated with pots of hot pink peonies courtesy of Cebolla Fine Flowers, the Art in Bloom 2014 floral sponsor and master class host.
Attendees — including Emily Maduro, Julie Durham Rado, Rachel Trowbridge, Linda Slaughter, Bonnie Krauss, Nancy Duncan, Buffy Cornell, Sarah Roby, Cynthia Dutter, Peggy Levinson, Tiffany Divis, Sue Ringle and Susan Fisk — mingled over wine and hors d’oeuvre as models showcased the store’s custom clothing and luxury accessories.
Art in Bloom, set for October 27 at the Dallas Museum of Art, is a floral symposium and luncheon featuring a lecture by a floral design expert, entertainment and auction of artful floral arrangements. Proceeds benefit the Dallas Museum of Art’s exhibition and education programs and the DMA League’s floral endowment fund.
Tickets are $175 each; sponsorships begin at $750. For more information, call the DMA League office at 214-922-1249 or email the league at League@DMA.org.
