Thousands of holiday shoppers filled Dallas Market Hall from September 24-27 for the 48th annual Chi Omega Christmas Market, an event that not only kicks off the holiday season but also raises vital funds for local nonprofits.
The long-running fundraiser, hosted by the Dallas-area Chi Omega Alumnae, continues to be one of the city’s most beloved early holiday traditions, blending festive cheer with a spirit of giving.
This year’s market, chaired by Karen Hunt, Debbie Lang, and Nancy Woodall, showcased a record number of merchants. From the moment doors opened, visitors were greeted with sparkling lights, festive decor, and the buzz of shoppers discovering unique gifts, seasonal treats, and handcrafted treasures from across the country.

“We were thrilled to return to Dallas Market Hall with such an incredible turnout and a record number of merchants,” says Woodall. “The support from our sponsors, community, and shoppers has been phenomenal, and we are excited knowing the funds raised will have a meaningful and lasting impact on the amazing nonprofits we are proud to partner with.”
Proceeds from the 2025 market support nine North Texas nonprofits spanning arts, education, health, and civic engagement: Beacon Hill, Broadway Dallas, Community Partners of Dallas, Connecting Point of Park Cities, Make-A-Wish North Texas, New Friends New Life, Sleep in Heavenly Peace TX – Dallas/Fort Worth, SPCA of Texas, and The Magdalen House.
In addition to nonprofit support, the market also funds collegiate scholarships, helping deserving students pursue higher education.
Attendees had the opportunity to browse through 245 merchants offering an array of holiday gifts, from handcrafted ornaments and gourmet treats to designer apparel and home decor. However, the market offered much more than shopping, with festive activities including holiday photo opportunities with Santa, a pop-up pet adoption by SPCA of Texas, a performance by the Broadway Dallas Performance Ensemble, and a special appearance by WFAA meteorologist Pete Delkus.

With nearly five decades of history, the Chi Omega Christmas Market remains a shining example of community spirit in action. By combining the excitement of holiday shopping with philanthropy, the event has become a unique tradition that transforms the season of giving into a joyful, tangible experience for both shoppers and beneficiaries alike.
