Born in Houston, Ryan grew up in the small town of Columbus near the banks ofthe Colorado River. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning adegree in both Radio-Television-Film and in Russian, Eastern European andEurasian Studies.Ryan enjoys writing about Austin's rich cultural scene in between his many hoursspent at the Alamo Drafthouse and local indie wrestling shows. He is the formerlistings editor of CultureMap Austin.
