The best activities in Dallas for meeting other singles

The best activities in Dallas for meeting other singles

What would it take to make dating fun? Getting off the apps and out into the real world, for starters, especially if that means meeting up to try everything from happy hours to skydiving.

The event planning experts at Events & Adventures reveal some of the best activities in Dallas for meeting other singles:

Wine tasting
It doesn't matter if you don't know your Cabernet from your Chardonnay — the experts will guide you through a tasting that includes samples and some history on the process of winemaking. Socialize while you sip, and maybe pick up a bottle or two to keep on hand for future dates.

Swing dancing
You might think that a partner is required, but this social dance is exactly that. It's common to switch partners with each song, and chatting in between dances is encouraged. The basic moves are usually explained in a free lesson before the band or DJ gets going, so everyone is on equal footing.

Aerial silks yoga
Nurture your Cirque du Soleil dreams by learning how to wrap, climb, twist, spin, and drop in this high-flying class that relies on the basics of yoga. It's fitness with finesse, allowing you to flex and float while bonding with your classmates.

Pub trivia
What better way to find your perfect match than by matching wits? Teamwork is tops, especially if you're working with a new group. Don't be afraid to broadcast your arcane knowledge of science, history, geography, or even pop culture, and quickly suss out whose skills complement yours.

Cooking class
Do your kitchen skills start and stop with grilled cheese? Even the most beginner of home chefs can benefit from learning the basics of chopping and sauteeing, and the bonus here is that at the end you get to savor your creation — hopefully with a new friend.

To experience all these outings and more, sign up for Events & Adventures. The fun-loving club lets Dallas singles court adventure along with romance by curating more than 30 awesome activities each month, taking care of the planning so all you have to do is show up, say hi, and hopefully meet your next special someone. The low-pressure environment takes the stress off one-on-one encounters, plus you get the adrenaline rush of trying new things.

Not only does this social club get you off your phone, it also helps you see your own city in a brand-new way. But the Dallas group isn't confined to just the city limits: Events & Adventures plans excursions that range from day trips to global tours.

Recent trips have included China, Cuba, Spain, Greece, the United Kingdom, and the Amazon. The trips are all about real friends and real adventures, and traveling in a group is always more fun (good to know: these trips are a no-kids zone).

An extensive screening process ensures that everyone is who they say they are (and are also legally single), and just the act of meeting someone in person increases the likelihood that you'll connect with them. It's time to ditch the profiles and start filling out your bucket list instead.
