If you've ever dreamed about being on national television and don't mind trekking to Denton, you can get your chance on the evening of Wednesday, December 10, when The Ellen Degeneres Show tapes a segment at the University of North Texas.

The show first announced the appearance via Twitter on December 9, then sent out a reminder tweet on Wednesday, giving the impression they really want a lot of people to show up.

There's no word on what the segment is, exactly, but Degeneres will speak via satellite to those in attendance. The segment is reportedly being filmed between 5 and 7 pm on the promenade next to the university library.

The segment will air on Thursday's show, which just so happens to be the seventh day in Ellen's hotly anticipated 12 Days of Giveaways, which could mean that attendees may be in for a surprise of their own.

Even if Degeneres doesn't gift everybody with something cool, it'll at least be an opportunity to virtually speak with a celebrity; what else do you have to do on a Wednesday night?
