New Frisco restaurant gives the people what they want: brunch
Hats off to Barney's Brunch House, a new restaurant opening in Frisco that really has its finger on the pulse of the people. Putting "brunch" in your actual restaurant name is a stroke of genius in this brunch-obsessed land.
Barney's will open in a new center at 5480 FM 423, aka Main Street, north of 121. It'll be open 7 am-3 pm daily, serving breakfast, lunch, and brunch. They anticipate opening in mid-June.
Owner Bumi Sejdini grew up around restaurants; his cousins own Enzo's NY Pizza in Flower Mound.
"My father has been in the restaurant business or 40 years, we had a very similar kind of restaurant in Detroit as what I'll be doing here," Sejdini says. "The food will be good quality but not expensive."
Lunch will consist of salads and lots of different sandwiches including pita sandwiches and wraps. Breakfast items will include omelets, red velvet pancakes, cinnamon roll pancakes, peanut butter-banana French toast, oatmeal, and yogurt with granola. They'll have wheat toast, white, and true Northern-style rye toast with caraway seeds.
"We'll have fresh-squeezed OJ inside the restaurant," Sejdini says. "You see other places that get it delivered, we'll have it right there. That's how we'll do things, real food that's fresh and from scratch."
