Gino’s East pizzeria declares opening date for deep dishing Dallas
In hot deep-dish pizza news, the Dallas location of Gino's East, at 10310 Lombardy Ln., has an opening date: November 19. This is the second Dallas-Fort Worth location for the Chicago-style chain; the first opened in Arlington in April 2015.
It's the seventh Gino's East in Texas. There are other locations in Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
"I'm excited that we brought it to Texas and are able to add another location to the Dallas-Fort Worth market," says owner Doug Guller in a release. Guller is the founder of ATX Brands, his parent company for other concepts such as Bikinis Sports Bar & Grill, Pelons, Bankersmith, and Schroeder Hall.
Gino's East fills the niche for Chicago-style, deep-dish pizza, with a menu focused on both signature dishes and Texas-influenced menu items such as the BBQ Brisket Za, with BBQ beef brisket, caramelized onions, and red and yellow peppers.
Deep-dish classics include one with pepperoni, Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, and bacon, and another with fresh blue cheese, bacon, Italian sausage, and a bacon and blue-cheese stuffed jalapeno.
The Texas locations also offer trademark appetizers, including mozzarella sticks with tomato sauce and spinach artichoke dip served with crostini.
Gino's East will include cocktails, wine, and craft beer, including local labels such as Deep Ellum Dallas Blonde, Community Public Ale, Revolver Blood & Honey, and Lakewood Lager, as well as a selection from Chicago's own Goose Island Beer Company.
The Gino's East in Dallas is located in a former Bikinis. On its first day only, it will open at 2 pm. Thereafter, it will follow its regular business hours: Sunday-Thursday, 11 am-10 pm, and Friday-Saturday, 11 am-11 pm.
