In one of our recent posts, we shared some of the most popular home design trends for the year, one of which is the design statement many homeowners are making via their front doors. To that end, we thought it would be inspiring to spotlight a handful of the city’s most detailed and gorgeous front doors.
Take a look at the interior and exterior detail of the front door at 4346 Park Ln., located in Preston Hollow. Framed in metal, the tempered glass front door features ornate iron sculpturing that ties in beautifully to other interior accents, such as the entryway staircase and the black diamond detailing in the Venetian tiling. The iron design is also matched with the delicate railing lining the side of the front steps.
5110 Meaders Ln. boasts double glass front doors that allow for ample sunlight to illuminate the entryway, and they perfectly complement the wall of windows at the back of the house. The rectangular gold hardware carries through the pattern of the glass, while the white door frame adds to the bright, open, airy design of this ranch-style property.
The home at 3624 Bryn Mawr Dr. in University Park features an imported antique wooden front door, complete with handsome black iron hardware and exceptional ornamentation and paneling. This oversized and unique double-door entry makes a bold yet inviting statement.
The door at 6229 Aberdeen Ave. exemplifies a study in mixed materials. The top of the door is designed with tempered glass and swirling black iron detailing, while the bottom half is solid wood embellished with carved paneling. The black and tan coloring of the door flows through the interior with the staircase’s patterned carpeting as well as the railing, accented with black iron swoops.
