Equest supporters have lots to celebrate at fundraising season kickoff
Equest supporters joined women’s auxiliary president Katherine Coker and men’s auxiliary president Bill Noble for a cocktail party at Bistro 31 to kick off their annual membership drive, which helps support Equest’s nationally renowned therapeutic riding programs.
As cocktails flowed, guests — including Equest CEO Patrick Bricker, Equest chairman of the board Emily Hargrove, Kunthear Mam-Douglas, Beth Thoele, Cara French, Amy Green, Maggie Kipp and Nancy Gopez — expressed excitement about the opening of Equest’s second facility at the new Texas Horse Park on May 3.
With this expansion, Equest will now be able to serve a total of 3,725 children and more than 200 veterans with the Hooves for Heroes Program. The organization is among the lucky 2014 Crystal Charity Ball beneficiaries, and that money will help fund the children’s programs at the horse park.
The conversation also turned to the upcoming Triple Crown Gala, set for May 3 at Texas Horse Park. The event, co-chaired by Shay Geyer and Maggie Kipp, features a live broadcast of the Kentucky Derby and hard-hat tours of the new facility.
