Dallas favorite lands on new list of 100 hottest restaurants in America
Greenville Avenue may be the most happening dining destination in the city right now, and one restaurant along that strip appears to be the hottest: HG Sply ranks among the 100 hot spot restaurants in America 2015, according to OpenTable diners.
It comes as no surprise, really, because it's hard to get a table most nights, despite its being open almost two years now. Paleo-inspired food plus rooftop patio plus Moscow Mules is a formula that works in this town.
OpenTable determined the list after analyzing more than 5 million reviews of more than 20,000 restaurants across the country, between March 1, 2014 and February 28, 2015. Qualifying restaurants were then sorted according to a score calculated from each restaurant's average rating in the "hot spot" category, along with a minimum overall rating.
Other Texas hot spots were weren't surprised to see on the list include Fixe and Odd Duck in Austin and Uchi in Houston. Less obvious Texas winners were Whiskey Cake in San Antonio, Kona Grill in El Paso and Cork & Pig Tavern #2 in Odessa.
