Music Festival Madness
Rain can't keep Tim McGraw down — or his fans — during March Madness Music Festival
What: Day two of March Madness Music Festival
Where: Reunion Park
The 411: Rain didn't dampen anyone's spirits during day two of the March Madness Music Festival at Reunion Park. Some attendees came prepared; others made do with makeshift rain gear. But no matter. They simply had another beer, kicked back and appreciated the fact that the day's performances were free.
Although the rain was light when Tim McGraw first took the stage, soon after it started to pour. Of course, the sun decided to come out the minute the country star stepped off stage. Due to a theft of some pyrotechnics, only clear plastic bags are allowed at the fest. (That means no purses, ladies.) But at least one concertgoer was grateful for the new rule, telling CBS she used the plastic bag as a shield from the elements.
In addition to enjoying live music, fans could watch the NCAA Final Four basketball action or play some hoops of their own, in addition to other games, at this well-organized event. The lineup for the final day (April 6) includes Pat Green at 3:30 pm, Fun at 5:15 pm and Bruce Springsteen at 7:15 pm. Rain is in the forecast, so plan accordingly — but you can't bring in umbrellas.
