Leave it to restaurateur Alberto Lombardi to sex up the Dallas brunch scene. He recently kicked off Chic Sundays at his Lounge 31 in Highland Park Village, which had previously only been a hot spot for happy hour sushi and champagne.
Lombardi lured the Park Cities set with a DIY Bloody Mary bar, half-price bottles of bubbly, and menu items such as tempura-fried lobster Benedict with wasabi hollandaise and duck hash and eggs. Guests — including Tanya and Pete Foster, Marjon and Gibbs Henderson, Brian Bolke, Faisal Halum, Missy Rogers, and Tim Peck — brunched like pros while DJ Lucy Wrubel spun the perfect soundtrack.
Brunch takes place every Sunday from 11 am-3 pm. You can make reservations — which are required, by the way — by calling 214-420-3900.
