Nasher Sculpture Center redefines family fun at Great Create art party
Perfect springtime weather inspired fun-loving Dallas families to descend on the Nasher Sculpture Center for the second annual Great Create, which supports the Nasher’s education programs.
Guests young and old dove into workshops and activities by world-renowned artists, including Morehshin Allahyari, Christopher Blay, Matt Clark, Color Condition (Marianne Newsom and Sunny Sliger), Kyle Hobratschk, Jason Kraus, Vicki Meek, Ruben Ochoa, Robyn O’Neil and John Holt Smith.
The Tremors and Beatles cover band Run For Your Life provided the soundtrack, while attendees partook in tasty sips and snacks. Plenty of photo opps kept the kiddos entertained when they took a break from art-related activities.
Major props to the hardworking event co-chairs, Courtney and Jeff Sinelli and Tonya and Todd Ramsey, who packed the lawn with some of Dallas’ most philanthropic parents, including Kimberly and Justin Whitman, Lucy and Steve Wrubel, and Christen and Derek Wilson. Everyone’s support ensured the event achieved its $100,000 fundraising goal to help serve the 45,000 students, families and lifelong learners that visit the museum each year.
