American Craft Beer Week promises a wealth of good brews in Dallas
It’s American Craft Beer Week, which means you’re going to be drinking some seriously good beers from around the state and the country. The Libertine Bar is going all out with events each day, but if Lower Greenville is out of your way, there are still plenty of options around town.
Monday, May 13
The Libertine Bar
For the past month, people have been voting in the Community vs. Lakewood Lager head-to-head competition, and the Libertine taps the winning Vienna Lager at 7 pm.
The Common Table
The Pour Man’s Beer Dinner features Braumeister Pils, Ranch IPA, and Swing Session Saison from Victory Brewing Company. Begins at 6 pm.
The Flying Saucer—Addison
The Flying Saucer is hosting specific beers each day, but it has only released the first day so far. First up is Lakewood Brewery with Rock Ryder Cask with Lychee, Till and Toil, Rock Ryder, and Temptress.
Tuesday, May 14
The Libertine Bar
The Libertine is celebrating Brooklyn Brewery’s silver anniversary by serving limited amounts of its award-winning Black Ops bottles.
The Common Table
Double Brewsday Tuesday features Founders Brewing Co. Double Trouble, Firestone Walker Brewing Co. Double Jack, Green Flash Brewing Co. Double Stout and Avery Brewing Company Maharaja.
The Grape
The Grape has a four-course beer dinner with Stone Brewing Co. from San Diego. Dishes are paired with Saisson du Buff, Stone Cali Belgique IPA, Stone Smoked Porter and Imperial Russian Stout. The dinner is $60 and includes a take-home glass. Starts at 7 pm.
Wednesday, May 15
The Libertine Bar
There is a Texas takeover of all nine taps, with beers from Community, Lakewood, Deep Ellum, Peticolas, Rahr, Real Ale, Saint Arnold and Pedernales.
Lonestar Beverages
The Carrollton shop is highlighting 10 breweries, including No Label Brewing from Katy, Six Point Brewery from Brooklyn, Boulevard Brewing from Kansas City, and a handful of local breweries. Representatives from each brewery discuss their beers and assist in sampling. The event runs from 5-8 pm.
Craft and Growler
Fill up a growler of Abita beer from the brewery in Covington, Louisiana, and get the growler for free beginning at 6 pm. Craft and Growler is also tapping Andygator, a Helles Doppelbock, for the first time ever in North Texas.
The Meddlesome Moth
The Moth has its Wednesday tapping with Real Ale Mysterium Verum Empire at 5 pm.
The Ginger Man
The Ginger Man in Uptown hosts Dale’s Pale Ale and G’Knight Imperial Red IPA from Oskar Blues Brewery in Colorado.
Thursday, May 16
The Libertine Bar
The Libertine hosts another Rare Beer Lottery with Saint Arnold Bishops Barrel 1 & 2, Black Ops 12 & 13, Deschutes 24 and more. You get a spot and hope to get the beer you want, but it’s not like there are any losers in this group.
Friday, May 17
The Libertine Bar
The bar has both oSKAr the G'Rauch and Stone Vanilla Bean Smoked Porter on tap.
Trinity Hall
The Irish pub hosts a cask tapping of Cocoa Nib Imperial Oatmeal Stout from Rahr & Sons.
Saturday, May 18

The Libertine is doubling down with Founders Double Trouble, Boulevard Love Child #2 and Saint Arnold Bishops Barrel #2.
