What: Resource Center Back-to-School Fundraiser

The 411: More than 100 guests came together for the Resource Center Young Professionals Advisory Council's annual Back-to-School Fundraiser, and it proved to be a record-setting night. The event raised $35,475 — a full $7,000 more than last year.
Patrons mixed, mingled, and viewed works of art at the benefit, presented by Steve Mies — all to help the center’s Youth First program.
DJ Brandon Moses kept tuns upbeat while guests enjoyed beverages and noshes, including sweet treats from cookie dough purveyor The Dough Dough.
Event co-chairs Lacey Brutschy and Josh Lara expressed their thanks and gratitude for event sponsors and guests who helped to make the fundraiser successful for North Texas LGBTQ youth.
Youth First is the only local LGBTQ-focused youth program that addresses the concerns that LGBTQ youth face with family members, peers, and fellow students. It is a challenge faced by about 15,000 youth in the Dallas area. Serving kids and young adults ages 12-18, Youth First equips them with the skills they need to lead an open life.
