Bold new build in prime Dallas location just needs a personal touch
People love to talk about that “new car smell.” We, on the other hand, are partial to the “new home smell”— that combination of lumber and paint unblemished by previous owners’ pet odors or overpowering fragrances.
But the modern stunner at 4723 W. University Blvd. pleases not only our noses, but also our eyes.
Completed in 2015, the pristine three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath sits in Inwood Park, south of Lovers Lane and west of Inwood Road, near Dallas Love Field airport (but not too close). It makes a statement from the street, with an angled roofline on the front-facing garage and the combination of stucco and natural stone on the exterior. The driveway and walkway, composed of cement pavers, are trimmed with rocks for another contemporary touch.
From the front door you can see straight through the open floor plan to the spacious backyard. A combination living/dining space leads to the kitchen, featuring a long island with a waterfall edge counter and blond wood cabinets to match the light hardwood floors found throughout the home. A second living area that looks out to the backyard, a study, and a powder bath complete the main floor.
Leading to the second level, the open-riser stairs help maintain the bright and airy open feel of the home. All three bedrooms and the remaining two baths are up; a large master suite is separated from the other two bedrooms for privacy.
The master bath is gorgeously appointed, with a separate tub and stand-up shower, complete with a rainfall showerhead. The floating, blond-wood vanity is topped with his-and-hers bowl sinks, while a large walk-in closet has ample space for storage.
The remaining two bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath, also nicely appointed with a double vanity and combination tub-shower.
Outside, a contemporary horizontal-slat fence surrounds the large backyard, which is prime for a swimming pool. (Buyers will have plenty of time to install one before soaring temperatures hit us again next summer.) For cooler nights, the covered loggia has an outdoor fireplace.
All told the new build has 2,626 square feet, and it is listed by Clay Stapp of Clay Stapp + Co. for $699,000.
