Teed Up for Charity
TopGolf hosts hole-in-one fundraiser to benefit After-School All-Stars
Charitable Dallasites showed off their golf skills at the inaugural All-Star Tee-Off at TopGolf. This is a new event on the Dallas philanthropic scene, but with a supporter like Lynn McBee on its side, this event has many successful years ahead.
The All-Star Tee-Off benefited the North Texas chapter of the After-School All-Stars. Everyone in attendance — including Breon Dennis, Laila Brock, Brad Alberts, Kersten Rettig and Keisha Dunlap — was passionate about the cause: providing free sports-related activities for middle school children to keep them active and safe at the end of the day.
“This was the first year for the All-Star Tee-Off, and it was an all-around success,” said Betsy Orton, executive director of the North Texas chapter of After-School All-Stars. “We inspired some friendly golf competition and auctioned off a lot of great items — all in an effort to give kids in Dallas a place to call home every day after school.”
