Fall for this Party
Beautiful Dallas YPs sparkle and shine at the be-seen party of fall
Philanthropic young professionals 650 strong dressed to impress and headed for Hotel ZaZa on November 3 for the fifth annual Dallas Autumn Ball.
The sold-out, black-tie event was not only the be-seen YP party of fall, but also raised crucial funds to help improve education in the city. Guests arrived ready to dine, drink, and dance.
The dress code didn't specifically call for it, but the attire trend of the night was "sparkle and shine." Dapper gentlemen wore tuxes and a few rocked sparkly, metallic blazers. Women donned long, glamorous gowns in shimmery fabrics or sequins.
Party-goers sipped drinks, including Patron-sponsored VIP tequila cocktails and beer from sponsor Peroni. They noshed from the slider and mac 'n cheese displays and nibbled passed apps, including wasabi and shiitake mushroom-potato wonton pouches; caramelized shallot dip-stuffed gourgeres; and pork terrine-Brie grilled cheese with cider mustard and tomato jam.
Dallas Autumn Ball founder Adam Kraus addressed the group, thanking everyone for their support.
Then the whole room hit the dance floor when Emerald City Band led off with "Bang Bang." They kept the crowd dancing, singing, and enjoying the company of like-minded young philanthropists.
Attendees who came ready to party for a good cause included Jennifer Peterson, Seena Mathews, Kari Campiotti, Heidi Fayasouk, Marina Bone, Alyse Cooper, UlisesAlvarado, Jasmeen Saimi, Lily Berger, Hailey Prater, Roisin Ryder, Grant Parker, Katelyn Fletcher, Ciara Cooley, Laurie Frias, Emilie Verdon, Casey Vanhorne, Locke Jillson, Madison McKay, Taylor Markey, Macey Davis, and many more. Some took breaks only to snap pics at the interactive photo booth.
In celeb-spotting news, reality TV sweethearts-turned real life couple Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk, stars of season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise, joined in the fun.
In total, the evening raised more than $30,000 for Reading Partners of North Texas, which places community volunteers in low-income schools to help kids ages kindergarten through fourth grade master basic reading skills through one-on-one tutoring.
"For every $1,000 we donate to Reading Partners, we are able to fund one child to be a pat of Reading Partners," Kraus says.
Founded in 2013, the annual Dallas Autumn Ball is an inclusive black-tie event for civic-minded young adults to unite in the name of giving back and celebrating charity in a festive, philanthropic environment. Since its inception, DAB has donated more than $120,000 to Dallas education organizations.
