Best Steakhouses
America's best steakhouses list proves beef is boss in Dallas-Fort Worth
A list of the best steakhouses in America is bound to include plenty of Texas restaurants. And OpenTable's latest helps prove that when it comes to beef, the Lone Star State is boss.
Dallas proper claims three spots on the list of 100: Al Biernat's, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse and Perry's Steakhouse. Fort Worth has four: Capital Grille, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, Rafain Brazilian Steakhouse and Texas de Brazil.
There is also one in Frisco — Estilo Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse — which puts the DFW total at eight. If you widen the net to include Wills Point, then we have nine, thanks to Four Winds Steakhouse.
As with any list, the criteria must be taken into account. To determine the best steakhouses in America — which included several locations of the same chains — OpenTable analyzed more than 5 million reviews of more than 20,000 restaurants across the country submitted by the site's verified users.
One user commented that Al Biernat's is "unquestionably the best dining experience in Dallas." About Pappas Bros. another commented, it's "my go to place for steak when in Dallas." At Perry's, OpenTable diners can't get enough of the pork chops.
Texas had 15 total restaurants on the list, including Killen's Steakhouse in Pearland; Pappas Bros., Vic & Anthony's and two locations of Perry's Steakhouse in Houston; and Perry's Steakhouse in Austin.
