Even though the annual Great Adventure Hunt isn’t until February 8, 2014, at The Joule, no one could wait to get this year’s festivities underway. So early registrants, past hunters and host committee members came together to share stories at the ChildCareGroup’s kickoff party.
Charitable atttendees — including Karen Bass, Lisa Levy, Holly Hands, Maggie Langston, Laura Koonsman, Bennie King, Mandy Price, Najiyyah Crayton, Patrick Crayton, Gunnar Rawlings, Melanie Ferguson, and Charles Glover — received two brain-twisting puzzles, complete with props and a performance. The purpose of the kickoff was to give new participants an idea of what adventures are in store at the 2014 scavenger hunt.
Co-chairs Diane and Daryl Johnston, Amanda and Byron Neuhoff, and Kit and Kemp Sawers have secured a new location, emcee and puzzle master for the upcoming event. WFAA’s Ron Corning will emcee the Great Adventure Hunt, during which teams of six players solve puzzles and clues — for fun and for charity, of course.
“We think this year’s hunt will be the best yet, and we encourage new participants to come out for a fun night that supports ChildCareGroup’s quality educational child care programs benefiting the youngest and neediest citizens of Dallas County,” Kit said.
CCG’s mission is to promote, deliver and expand the best early care and education programs for children, parents and early childhood professionals.
