On December 5, Dallas' fall social season came to a show-stopping close as the city's most charitable partygoers gathered at the Hilton Anatole for the 2015 Crystal Charity Ball. The theme, An Evening of Celestial Radiance, could be seen in everything from the sparkling silver stars to the oversize reproductions of masterworks such as Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night — even in the magnificent blue ball gown donned by ball chair Michal Powell.
Guests — including Lynn and Allan McBee, Shelby Wagner, Niven Morgan, Annika and Dennis Cail, Cynthia and Forest Miller, Suzie and Robert Conley, Michelle and Houston Hall, Jennifer and Scott Chandler, Elizabeth and Paul Dougan, and Margaret and Barry Hancock — sipped bubbly while perusing the abundant silent auction, which was separated into categories ranging from "jewels and gems" to "adventures." A casino beckoned those looking to court Lady Luck in the name of charity.
The reveal of the Chantilly Ballroom did not disappoint, as it seemed to be sprinkled with stardust. A gourmet meal and a rocking after-party capped off a beautiful evening, with guests eagerly anticipating next year's gala.
Since 1952, Crystal Charity Ball has raised millions for children's charities in Dallas County, such as 2015 beneficiaries Dallas Children's Theater, Dallas Life, and North Texas Food Bank, and Family Compass.
