Dallas holiday shopping tradition rings up millions for local charities

The 411: At the preview party, VIP shoppers got first dibs on all the goodies up for grabs at this year's market, themed Chi Omega Candy Christmas. Dressed in festive casual attire, attendees also enjoyed food and drinks by Amazing Caterers and entertainment by Hunter Sullivan. The next evening, more special shoppers got early access to all the jewelry, home decor, and fashion offerings at the First Call shopping event.
More than 10,500 shoppers from all over the country attended this year's Chi Omega Christmas Market, which is expected to raise more than $7 million for 11 local Dallas charities. Beneficiaries include Association for Independent Living, Attitudes & Attire, AVANCE-Dance Inc., Camp Summit, Dallas Service Low Vision Clinic, DME Exchange of Dallas, Hope Cottage, Jonathan's Place, Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas, ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship, Chi Omega Educational Corporation, and collegiate scholarships.
Who:
