Haute Holiday Party
Forty Five Ten fans shine on at Veuve-filled holiday fête honoring Kelly Wearstler
Forty Five Ten proprietor Brian Bolke only operates in one mode: stylish. So you had to know his “Shine On” holiday party would be the most fabulous of the season.
Social swells — including Kimberly and Tyson Chandler, Lynn McBee, Cindy and Howard Rachofsky, Charlotte Anderson, Chandra North, Katherine and Eric Reeves, Jan Strimple, Helena Wall, Piper Wyatt, Claire Emanuelson, Anna Sophia van Zweden, Lael and Peter Brodsky, Gonzalo Bueno, Erin Mathews, Capera Ryan, and John Terlingo — poured into the famed Dallas fashion emporium to mingle with the guest of honor: globally renowned interior and jewelry designer Kelly Wearstler, who recently launched a limited-edition Swarovski collection exclusively at Forty Five Ten.
As guests took in the scene designed by Suite 206, they had a choice to make: Belvedere vodka cocktails mixed to Midnight Rambler standards or champagne by Veuve Clicquot? Naturally, DJ Lucy Wrubel provided a soundtrack appropriate for this festive holiday fête. Her always charming and equally hilarious hubby and photographer, Steve Wrubel, also made an appearance in a Santa suit. Of course he did.
The food, provided by The Joule, was almost as impressive as the stacked guest list, with a never-ending parade of passed apps such as shrimp tacos with avocado relish, truffled deviled egg with black pepper, salmon cornets in sesame cones, mini pecan pies and much more. For those desiring something more entrée-esque, The Joule’s noodle bar hit the spot. Think udon noodles with barbecue spiced brisket, edamame, charred green tomatoes and dates, or squid ink noodles with lobster, blue crab, lemon and Old Bay crumble.
Wearstler also signed her tome, Rhapsody, for partygoers, and a portion of the evening’s proceeds benefitted the 50th anniversary Art Ball, which is slated for April 11, 2015, at the Dallas Museum of Art.
