Time flies when you're having fun, or converting Wyly Theatre

Ninety-one-seconds may not seem like much. But in this time-lapse video, it's just long enough to see the transformation of the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre from stage to event space.

The video condenses six hours of work into a tidy minute-and-a-half. The 575-seat Potter Rose Performance Hall disappears before your very eyes as the space becomes an open, multipurpose area.

According to a spokesman for the theater, AT&T Performing Arts Center commissioned the video "to highlight the unique backstage elements of the Wyly Theatre, which are rarely seen by the public."

Wyly Theatre opened in 2009 and was designed by REX/OMA, Josh Prince-Ramus and Rem Koolhaas. In 2011, the building received the American Institute of Architects Honor Award.
