Pet of the Week
Sister the kid-friendly kitty longs for purr-fect family
From last week, sweet Molly the hound mix is still waiting for her forever family. It was the best week ever, however, for Hannah and Petunia, because both were adopted into loving homes.
This week we've got a pretty little cat named Sister, who was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on December 20. Could this kid-friendly kitty be the next "sister" in your family? Let's find out.
Breed: Domestic shorthair mix
Age: 4 years
Weight: 14 pounds
Personality: Sister is a bit shy with strangers at first, but she warms up quickly and lets out a meow to say hello. She loves playing with a feather wand but needs to stay inside, because her front paws are declawed.
Vital stats: She has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative) and microchipped, and she has received her age-appropriate vaccinations.
Come meet Sister (#123608) today at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
Regular adoption fees are $95-$125 for puppies 0-6 months, $75-$95 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $50 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $95 for kittens, $75 for adult cats, $50 for senior cats 7 years and older, and $50 for VIP cats.
