Unconventional dating site hands out free Dallas divorces
Never one for a subtle media stunt, Sugardaddie.com is back at it. This time, the dating site is paying for divorces. No, really. To celebrate a decade of hooking up sugar daddies and sugar babies, the website is offering to pay for three divorces for Dallas residents.
The deal comes by way of LegalZoom.com’s divorce package, which has state-specific documents for both spouses, as well as a marital settlement agreement and a parenting plan for specifying custody arrangements and visitation schedules. Because when you’re thinking about the kids, you think Sugardaddie.com.
"I thought it would be a creative way to get the word out about our site, and to help people gain real independence in their lives," CEO Steve Pasernak said in a statement plugging the contest.
To win (loosely applied here), email the reasons you want a divorce to darren@popculturepr.com. Entries must be received by 5 pm July 31 (only three weeks!). The three best finalists will be handpicked by Pasernak and company founders — though what “best” means is pretty open to interpretation in this case.
It’s just too bad Henny Youngman didn’t live to see this.
