Pet of the Week
Mandy the shepherd mix can dance her way into anyone's heart
From last week, Oreo is still available for adoption. But former featured pet Spanky has found his forever home. This week, meet Mandy, a 7-year-old, 44-pound shepherd/terrier mix.
Mandy loves to have fun and will never say "no" to a game of chase, fetch or tug-of-war. In addition to being a bundle of fun, Mandy is also quite talented; she walks nicely on the leash and can sit on command. Plus she's got some pretty sweet dancing moves, which makes her the life of any party.
This brown-eyed girl also is a people person and melts the hearts of everyone she meets. Mandy was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on July 15 after the death of her previous owner. Although her life has taken quite a turn, she is excited to begin a new journey with you.
She is considered a VIP (very important pet) because of her maturity, so she has a lower adoption price. But don't let Mandy’s age fool you: Age is simply a number, and she has the heart and soul of a playful pup.
Come meet Mandy (#22851) today at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
Regular adoption fees are $95-$125 for puppies 0-6 months, $75-$95 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $50 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $95 for kittens, $75 for adult cats, $50 for senior cats 7 years and older, and $50 for VIP cats.
