Country stars apparently love Gexa Energy Pavilion, as more of them put on concerts there than any other big venue in the area. Now, for the second year in a row, country fans can line up their concert-going schedule months in advance through the Country Megaticket.
The Megaticket essentially acts as a season ticket for all the big country concerts coming to Gexa in 2014. Once again, there are some big names on the list: Lady Antebellum on May 9, Blake Shelton with The Band Perry on June 21, Rascal Flatts with Sheryl Crow on July 12, Tim McGraw on August 8, Brad Paisley on September 5, Luke Bryan on September 20 and Jason Aldean with Florida Georgia Line on October 25.
There are three different packages available for the seven concerts, and just like last year, each package includes parking and an opportunity to buy next year's Megaticket early. The Gold and Silver packages allow you to buy the exact same seats for each concert.
Buying a Megaticket, which ranges anywhere from $199.75 for the Lawn Package to $799.75 for the Gold Package, is definitely a commitment and huge upfront expenditure, but it also enables you to secure tickets to some of the biggest concerts of the year months before single tickets go on sale.
Anyone who bought a Megaticket last year can buy again this year starting on Tuesday, January 21, as can Citi cardmembers. Pre-sales through country radio stations KPLX and KSCS and through Live Nation start on January 22; the general on-sale date is January 24.
Additionally, both KPLX and KSCS will give away free Megatickets January 20-24 at various times throughout the day.
On May 9, Lady Antebellum headlines the first of seven huge country concerts at Gexa Energy Pavilion in 2014.
