Two Dallas legends promise an unforgettable evening
Tickets are now on sale for an evening you won't want to miss. Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, two legends from the iconic television series Dallas, will delight audiences for one night only at 8 pm on March 23 at the Winspear Opera House.
"A Dallas Retrospective: J.R. Ewing Bourbon presents Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy" will have the pair discussing their extensive careers, sharing inside stories from the set, and analyzing the effect the popular television show had on the Dallas community and the world. The event, which is sponsored by the nationally distributed J.R. Ewing Bourbon, will be moderated by Dallas Morning News city columnist Robert Wilonsky.
Linda Gray is an award-winning actress, an accomplished director, a former United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, and one of the world’s most recognized and admired stars. Her portrayal of Sue Ellen in Dallas brought her international fame and critical acclaim, earning her an Emmy nomination for Best Actress and numerous international awards. After 11 years as the No. 1 show on television, Dallas returned to TNT in 2012 and ran for three successful seasons.
Patrick Duffy's tremendous worldwide audience appeal has been gained through three highly successful series. It all started with Man From Atlantis, then his 13 years starring as Bobby Ewing on Dallas (including the unprecedented "dream season" in which he was brought back from the dead in the famous shower scene), and finally seven seasons of the popular half-hour sitcom Step by Step.
Signature J.R. Ewing bourbon cocktails will be served, and Southfork Ranch is bringing a replica of the famous gate for photo ops in the lobby. Also ready for his close up will be a life-size cutout of J.R. himself, to go along with the step-and-repeat. Dallas merchandise, as well as Gray's best-selling memoir The Road to Happiness is Always Under Construction, will be available for purchase in the lobby.
