Fancy fabulous Food Network star books Dallas for intimate show
The Barefoot Contessa is coming to town. Food Network queen Ina Garten will appear in Dallas as part of the DMA's Arts & Letters Live series on November 14, with stories, anecdotes, and a Q&A.
Garten is the cookbook author and host of Barefoot Contessa Back to Basics, a show on Food Network now in its 13th season. "The Barefoot Contessa" comes from the name of a store she bought in the Hamptons, where she lives.
Joined by a moderator, Garten will share stories from behind-the-scenes of life in the Hamptons, filming her TV show, writing bestselling cookbooks, and enjoying food with friends and family. You know, just Being Ina.
The show promotes her new cookbook, Cook Like a Pro, which comes out in October. A companion to her latest TV series of the same name, it boasts 85 never-before-published recipes that teach home cooks delicious dishes along with the keys to achieving success and confidence in the kitchen.
Recipes include braised short ribs, blue cheese grits, and a simplified baked Alaska.
Tickets to the show start at $50.50 plus service charges, and will go on sale May 11 at 10 am at dma.org/all, or via phone at 214-922-1818.
