Punk princess Courtney Love to bring grrrl power to House of Blues Dallas
Whirling dervish punk-rock princess Courtney Love will be in Dallas for a concert on Sunday, August 4, at House of Blues Dallas. The show is part of a summer tour that begins in June in Philadelphia, circles the East Coast, crosses to the West Coast and heads south in August.
Love will also perform at House of Blues Houston on August 2.
This will be Love's first Dallas-area show since her performance at House of Blues in July 2010 (see video above), when she was promoting Hole's 2010 album, Nobody’s Daughter. She also performed at Edgefest in May 2010 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco.
Her last solo album was 2004's America's Sweetheart. She most recently played a solo date at Sundance Film Festival in January.
Tickets for the all-ages show are fairly reasonable, running from $30 for general admission to $50 for the balcony. Tickets go on sale on May 31 at 10 am.
Her opening act will be Starred, a goth band from Brooklyn.
