Jackopierce celebrates 25 years with Park Cities fans
Twenty-five years and more than 10 studio albums into their collaboration, the men of Jackopierce are known as the elder statesmen of a breezy, soul-pleasing acoustic rock sound that started in the draft houses and frat houses of Southern Methodist University.
Soon, bandmates Cary Pierce and Jack O’Neill will celebrate 25 years of playing to Park Cities neighbors with an anniversary concert, September 7 at the Winspear Opera House. Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty is a sponsor.
“Dallas is our core fan base,” says Pierce. “We started out playing for college kids, and we still count these folks as our primary audience. Now they’re bringing their kids to the concerts.”
The anniversary concert will feature special guests including Matt Scannell from Vertical Horizon and a performance by Evan & Jaron. With a set list that includes early tracks such as “Three of Us in a Boat” to selections from their new release, Everywhere All the Time, JP concerts are like a Park Cities songbook just waiting for a sing-along.
The event is almost sold out, but fans can still purchase tickets at jackopierce.com. The website also includes details on upcoming performances, including a destination concert at the stunning Casa Hyder in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico—the perfect way to enjoy great music and a fun vacation all rolled into one.
