Fashionable Collab
Dallas NBA All-Star has a stylish secret you can only find at Forty Five Ten
The Dallas Mavericks’ Tyson Chandler and his fashionable and philanthropic wife Kimberly have teamed up with celebrity-beloved Selima Optique for a line of sunglasses called Our Secret. The line is available exclusively in Dallas at Forty Five Ten, Brian Bolke’s temple of style on McKinney Avenue.
That Bolke always has something up his fabulous sleeve.
“This collaboration has been a true labor of love and the next natural progression in our ever-evolving hand in fashion,” Kimberly says in a release. “The frames capture different eras of time and pay homage to the people we have come to know as tastemakers and influencers.”
Styles range from the Jane, which pays tribute to John Lennon, to a Wayfarer-like frame available in two colors. There are also a couple of kids’ versions, called Bubba X, no doubt inspired by the couple’s three kids, Tyson II, Sacha-Marie, and Sayge. “I think leaving the house without sunglasses is like going to the Met Ball without lipstick,” Kimberly toldVogue.
This is the latest in the line of collaborations for Selima Optique, which has developed collections with Jack Spade, Pamela Love, Adam Kimmel and Catherine Malandrino. Every season at New York Fashion Week, you can see Selima eyewear on the runway in such designer shows as Proenza Schouler, Erin Fetherston and Diane von Furstenberg.
The Chandlers were “intimately involved” in the process, working closely with the brand’s founder, Selima Salaun, and creative director (and Kimberly’s brother) Browne Andrews. Our Secret sunglasses are crafted of Italian cellulose acetate and outfitted with UV400 lenses. Prices range from $175 to $350.
The collection is available online now via Farfetch and in store on March 25.
