John Piermarini just made it easier for customers to satisfy all of their style needs at his Snider Plaza store. The young fashion entrepreneur launched Piermarini Beauty, a full line of skincare and makeup that reflects the aesthetic of his store: minimalist with a twist.
“It hit me when a customer said. ‘I have to run over and get a mascara.’ That shouldn’t be something people dread. Now people can come in and get a full look,” he says.
Packaged in sleek black casing, the line includes skincare products for men and women — vitamin C serum, brightening night cream, day cream — as well as makeup such as pore perfecting face primer, mineral sheer tint (tinted primer), foundation stick, blush, mascara, eye shadow, eyebrow gel pencil, liquid eye shadow, lip gloss, lipstick and lip crayon. The colors are subtle, like the clothes in the store, with a few bold lip hues.
Piermarini, a vegan, wanted healthy, good-for-the-skin products that accentuate one’s natural beauty. Many contain sun-shielding ingredients as well as vitamins C and K. The products are appropriate for all skin types.
Piermarini has been working on the line for over a year and decided to give his boutique a makeover to coincide with the launch of the beauty line. The collection is nestled on an exquisite chest in the back of the store, flanked by two high chairs for customers who want to sit down for a mini-makeover.
There are a variety of warm shades from which to choose for the fall, but the color palettes will change with the seasons. All of the gel products are made to last throughout the day and come in subtle shades to make for a beautiful, natural glow.
