Dallas Gets A Rose
New Forever 21 spinoff beauty shop brings hot pink girl heaven to Dallas
Just in time for holiday gifting and party primping, the colorful new high-tech beauty and lifestyle store Riley Rose has opened at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco.
A sister concept to millennial mega-retailer Forever 21, it sells beauty products, home decor items, personal accessories, and sweets. It's the first Dallas-area location and only the fourth store overall for the chain; a second opened in San Antonio in late November.
The store's beauty emporium is a visual feast, with hot pink accents and neon signs scattered throughout the space, creating a Snapchat heaven. The outside alone looks like Barbie’s Dream House. But that's not all. The store is decked out with interactive touch screens, luxe vanities, and a wall of candy by Dylan’s Candy Bar, so you can fuel up and shop on.
There are aisles and aisles of hair products, skincare lines, and home essentials, plus makeup. Get your hands on brands from familiar faves to elusive gems, including Beauty Bakerie, Lime Crime, Nuca, Stila Cosmetics, Too Cool for School, Winky Lux, Glitter Injections, Peripera, Luxie Beauty, and Lemonhead LA.
Unlike Forever 21, however, where you can score a whole new party outfit for $50 or less, prices here start at $1.90 and go up to whopping $189.
Riley Rose was created by Linda and Esther Chang, the sisters who run Forever 21, which their parents founded. They launched the new beauty concept, they say, to offer younger consumers access to exclusive brands and to make shopping for them a fun, interactive experience.
“My sister and I dreamt up our ideal 'one stop shop,' where we could discover and play with new products and trends with our friends in the most inclusive store environment," co-founder Linda Chang says in a release. "Riley Rose will offer a unique shopping experience — a true lifestyle destination featuring not only sought-after beauty essentials, but home décor and accessories, too.”
The first Riley Rose location rolled out in Los Angeles in October, with 12 more stores throughout the U.S. slotted to open before the end of the year. The Stonebriar store is now open on Level 2, outside J.C. Penney.
