West Coast home store greets Dallas-Fort Worth with special treat from Joanna Gaines
A new home furnishings store from the West Coast will debut its first location in Dallas-Fort Worth, with something extra from a Texas design sensation.
Living Spaces will open its doors in Grand Prairie on May 17. Exclusive to the North Texas showroom, a Magnolia Home Flower Shop, featuring a fully functioning floral shop where custom arrangements are available for purchase, will greet guests at the front. The extra perk is a tribute to Waco-based Magnolia Home founder and "Fixer Upper" extraordinaire Joanna Gaines, whose home furnishings are also carried in the store.
The massive new store, which includes a showroom and distribution center and spans 860,000 square feet, will carry Living Spaces’ signature wide selection of stylish pieces of furniture at affordable prices, according to a release. There's furniture and decor for every room of the house, including kids' and teens' bedrooms.
Also, expert designers are available on-site to provide styling direction. "The Grand Prairie showroom is equipped with a Living Spaces’ Design Studio and 3D Room Designer Tool, which allows guests to create digital versions of their home and instantly render custom upholstery designs as part of their Special Order Upholstery Program," the release says.
The space also features a 2,000-square-foot multi-level play structure and supervised movie room in case little ones need to be occupied while parents shop.
“Opening our third location in my native state of Texas is a momentous occasion for the Living Spaces business,” says Grover Geiselman, CEO and founder of Living Spaces," in the release. “With notable attractions in the area — Lone Star Park, The Theatre at Grand Park, Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark, to name a few — Grand Prairie is a growing community for families to call home. We’re excited to be a part of the community and to serve as a resource for homeowners in the region."
Living Spaces was established in 2003 and calls La Mirada, California home. They're the leading West Coast home furnishings retailer, known for offering a wide selection of indoor and outdoor furniture, décor, lighting, art and unique pieces at affordable price-points. They design and manufacture an assortment of exclusive products that are available online and in-store, they say.
Living Spaces has two other locations in Texas, in Pflugerville and San Antonio. Grand Prairie marks their first foray in the Metroplex.
"Since making our debut in Texas in fall 2018, we’ve been greeted with open arms, and we’re honored to bring our offerings of elevated furniture available at a low price point. We’re looking forward to giving the DFW Metroplex the same experience," Geiselman says.
The store is at 1514 Arkansas Ln., Grand Prairie. Special sneak-preview events will take place from 5-9 pm May 15-16. Doors will open to the public on May 17, with limited-time deals and designs for each room.
