Unusual Pools
Dave Perry-Miller & Associates present the splashiest pools in Dallas
Pool design is often a reflection of the home’s architectural style or the homeowner’s personal preferences. But sometimes the pool and backyard areas have a style all their own. Across the city, there are extravagant, interesting and unique pools and backyard designs. Some spotlight water features, others emphasize the use of creative materials and a few incorporate characteristics you just wouldn’t expect.
Dave Perry-Miller &Associates have curated a list of some of our very favorite pool designs.
The wall-of-waterfall design in the pool area of 3005 Amherst Ave. gives the illusion that water is entering the yard from an outside source. The C-shape of the pool is chic and uncommon, while the bright blue tiling provides a nice contrast to the stacked brown rock design of the spa.
The pool design at 5054 Lakehill Court includes a beach entry, rocky waterfall and an elegant overflow that cascades over a smooth tiled wall into a small secondary area. The design is unique; from the patio, it gives the illusion that the water from the pool simply drops off, much like you’d expect to see with an infinity pool.
The octagonal shape of the pool at 4612 Isabella Ln. is definitely different. Fountains shooting gracefully into the pool complement the backyard’s resort-like ambience, and with a completely separate spa area and expansive decking, there’s plenty of room for parties and entertainment.
Contemporary, chic and built for privacy, the pool at 8217 Midway Rd. has a clean elegance. The privacy wall along one end of the pool features two sheer descents. The oversized spa has room for several sunbathers.
One pool is relaxing; with two, there’s cause for celebration. The ranch estate at 320 Dale Evans Dr. in Italy features a double pool linked by a slide. Tropical landscaping, oversized spa and beautiful tile accents add to the aesthetics.
You’ll find two identical horseshoe-shaped structures on opposite ends of the rectangular pool at 9925 Lakeway Court in Preston Hollow. One is a spa; the other is a water feature. This beautifully designed backyard is surround by lush landscape, mature trees and a greenbelt with a creek.
