New luxury residential high-rise proffers pricey pads in Plano
The city of Plano has plenty of amenities, but one area in which it comes up short is high-priced luxury apartments. Trammell Crow to the rescue with the opening of The Kincaid at Legacy, a 25-story tower in the heart of Legacy Town Center.
Located at 7200 Dallas Pkwy., the Kincaid is among the tallest buildings in Plano and is adjacent to the Shops at Legacy, making it convenient to the wealth of shops and restaurants.
The building has 300 units for rent, including 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units, ranging in size from 677-to-4,500+ square feet.
A 2-bedroom unit with 2.5 baths and 2002 square feet rents for $4,855 to $4,870. The most expensive unit they list is one with 3,275 square feet, 3 bedrooms, and 3.5 bathrooms that goes for $10,324.
However, they don't list the price on the 14th floor unit with 4,527 square feet. But if the price per square footage stays in line with other units, it's probably in the vicinity of $14,000.
In any case, this building rights a serious wrong. For too long, citizens of Plano have been forced to rent regularly-priced apartments in buildings that were 2 to 3 stories high max.
Joel Behrens, of High Street's DFW business unit says they have already started renting out units.
"We have welcomed new residents into the building and interest in leasing in the remaining units remains strong," Behrens says. "Plano has become one of the most popular places in North Texas to live and work. The Kincaid at Legacy offers urban living in a suburban setting for the many new workers in the area given the surge in new corporate headquarters and relocations to Plano."
The tower features a fitness center, resident lounge with screening room, billiard room, entertainment kitchen, conference rooms, business center, Wi-Fi in the common areas, bike storage, two pools, fire pits, grilling areas, 7th-floor deck, a dog park, and concierge service.
