Super Bowl 50 feasting tops this week’s best Dallas food events
It’s the week of the Super Bowl and the week before Valentine’s Day. That means you have a few days to find someone to watch the game with and a few more to find someone to romance. No pressure.
These are the best food and drink events going on this week:
Tuesday, February 2
Jarvis Estate Wine Dinner at Savor
Savor Gastropub and Jarvis Estate collaborate for a unique culinary and wine experience featuring special guest and second generation owner Will Jarvis. Courses include pan-roasted scallops, duck confit, elk strip loin, and lamb loin. The evening starts with a 6:30 pm reception, followed by dinner at 7. Price is $160, and reservations can be made by calling 214-306-5597.
Wednesday February 3
Sommelier for the Day at III Forks
The first Wednesday of each month from 5-7 pm, guests help select featured wines for the coming month. For $20, sample six wines selected by the III Forks wine director while nibbling hors d’oeuvre created by executive chef Chris Vogeli. The favored wine wins a place on the III Forks menu for the month of March.
Thursday, February 4
Bach & Beer at Tupps Brewery
Internationally recognized cellist Steuart Pincombe brings together two of the finer things in life: Bach and beer. While sipping on their favorite brews, audience members can discover the connections between the art of brewing and the art of playing the music of Bach. Each suite is paired with one of Tupps’ own brews. The event starts at 7 pm, and guests are encouraged to pay what they can.
Charcuterie and Cheese Class at Scardello Artisan Cheese
Whether you prefer salami, prosciutto, or pâté, this class discusses how they are made and matches them with handmade cheese. If the event you are interested in is sold out, call 214-219-1300 to put your name on the waiting list. The class starts at 7 pm, and tickets are $40.
Super Bowl Sunday, February 7
CiboDivino
This Super Bowl party features an all-you-can-eat menu with a variety of proteins and sides for a set price of $55. Drink specials include $3 glasses of wine and beer. Dishes include brisket, pork, chicken wings, sausage chili, spare ribs, coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, mac and cheese, breads, and more. Tickets can be purchased in the market or by calling 214- 653-2426.
Hard Rock Cafe

Flying Saucer at the Lake
This popular restaurant is putting on an eight-team paper football tournament starting at 4 pm. Also expect special tappings of Buffalo Bayou Bacon Chili Jam and Oskar Blues sherry barrel aged G’Knight, plus two brews from each team’s home state. Food specials include buffalo chicken wontons, homemade Parmesan potato chips with caramelized onion dip, and a pulled pork sandwich with blue cheese coleslaw and bacon served with mojo seasoned fries. The party starts at 3 pm.
Pinstack
Choose from 35 screens to catch the game, including six on the patio. Super Bowl 50 specials include a wing platter for $29.99, $5 23-ounce drafts, and 50 percent off attractions. The specials last all day.
Pluckers Wing Bar
Pluckers is anticipating such a crowd on Super Bowl Sunday that it’s charging for tables. Reservations are $5 per person at Addison, Fort Worth, Plano, and Allen locations, and $10 in Arlington and Dallas. Fans can like and share Pluckers’ Super Bowl posts on Facebook and comment with what they think the final score will be. From there, Pluckers selects a winner from those who guessed the correct score, and the prize is free Pluckers for a year.
