A magical dessert shop that celebrates the mythical unicorn is going west, to Fort Worth. Magical Dessert Bar, which has slayed them in Dallas and slayed them in Houston, will soon be doing the same with a new location, opening at Foch Street Warehouses west of downtown.

They'll be serving up sweets in decorative colors with unicorn cakes, milkshakes, boba tea, cupcakes, cake pops, and lemonades in flavors like mango, pomegranate and berry-berry.

According to owners Usman and Javier Babar, the shop will open on April 13 at 1005 Foch St. It's taking over the space that was Chills 360, which the Babars also owned. Yesterday's rolled ice cream is today's unicorn.

Their treats, such as milkshakes adorned with slices of cake and multi-colored lemonade wrapped with cotton candy, are colorful and pretty, making them an Instagram dream.

The first Magical Dessert Bar opened in Dallas' Deep Ellum in 2018, where its unicorn mural and pastel iridescence drew lines for the duration it was open, overwhelming the small spot where it was originally located. The shop shuttered in February and is moving to bigger digs a block away, with a tentative opening set for April.

The second opened in Houston in early March, where it was greeted by four-hour lines. The appetite for unicorns is real.
