Noshing With Troy
Troy Aikman joins restaurant game with new eatery in Arlington
A new restaurant opening at Texas Live! in the Arlington Entertainment District comes attached to an intriguing celebrity: Troy Aikman.
Called Troy's, it'll open late summer to join the likes of Arlington Backyard, Live! Arena, Rangers Republic, the country’s flagship PBR Country Bar, Revolver Brewing, and Lockhart Smokehouse in anchoring Texas Live!
Aikman shared plans for the venue as part of a first look at the construction progress of Texas Live!, the $250 million dining, entertainment, and hospitality district being developed in partnership between the Texas Rangers, The Cordish Companies, and the City of Arlington.
Troy's "elevated" menu will be based on Aikman's personal favorites including burgers with bold flavors, and margaritas made from fresh ingredients. Troy is a margarita drinker? Who knew. The menu will showcase healthy lunch and dinner options, shareable sides, craft cocktails, wine, and beer.
Designed by Jeffrey Beers International, the space will feature refined rustic interior inspired by Texas beer halls, with a lush outdoor patio space centered around a live oak tree.
It'll also have an indoor/outdoor stage in the middle, with live music daily featuring local and regional acts.
No surprise, Troy's will feature a major LED display for a premier sports viewing experience.
"The opportunity to be a part of a world-class development in the heart of America’s Capital of Sports and Entertainment is incredibly exciting for me," Aikman says in a release. "We are working to create the perfect blend of dining and socializing that I hope people will love for years to come."
The Cordish Companies principal Reed Cordish says they're honored that Aikman has decided to open his first restaurant at Texas Live!. Texas Rangers EVP Rob Matwick calls Troy's "an iconic addition" that will quickly become a favorite for local residents and out of town guests."
